Our candidate for the Kalangala District woman MP byelection Nampala Irene has been duly nominated this afternoon at the Electoral Commission office. She was accompanied by the Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya and other comrades. She then addressed the press at Kyagalanyi village before proceeding with a drive through the outskirts of town to interface with our enthusiastic supporters. The people of Kalangala are charged with a mission of progressively advancing the agenda of their fallen MP comrade Hellen Nakimuli (RIP). We are in this together and we shall fight to retain our position in Kalangala District!

The National Unity Platform (NUP) candidate in the Kalangala District Woman MP by-election, Hon. Nampala Irene, was this afternoon duly nominated by the Electoral Commission to contest for the seat left vacant following the death of the district's elected Woman MP, the late Hon. Hellen Nakimuli.

Our National Secretary for mobilization, comrade Habib Buwembo, has led the revolutionary troops to Kalangala District, where he has spent the entire day engaging with the local leadership to lay strategies for the entire byelection campaign ahead of the nominations slated for tomorrow.

Our flag bearer, comrade Nampala Irene, will be nominated tomorrow, Wednesday, and she will thereafter address the media at Kyagalanyi. More comrades and leaders shall join in drumming up support for our candidate in our quest to retain this legislative seat.

Happy Heroes Day to H.E. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) and to all the heroes and heroines who continue to sacrifice for a better Uganda.

Today, as Uganda marks Heroes Day, we honor a leader who has stood with the people through thick and thin, risking his life, freedom, and personal comfort in the struggle for justice, democracy, and a free Uganda. Your courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire millions both at home and abroad.

We also remember all the heroes of the People Power movement, those who have lost their lives, those who remain imprisoned, and those who continue to endure persecution for standing on the side of truth and freedom. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

One day, every political prisoner will be free. One day, justice will prevail. One day, Uganda will be the country we all dream of a nation where freedom, dignity, and opportunity belong to every citizen.

Until then, let us remain strong, united, and hopeful. Let us keep going.
