We really do appreciate it! We also believe in the importance of education. The more people that learn the basics of fishing and it's traditions the brighter the future of fishing will be. This is why we offer basic lessons in fishing and rod building by appointment. We also offer apparel to show off your Crappie Junction colors! Hit up our Ebay at this link:

We had a great time in Amery, WI this weekend!! We placed middle of the pack for the bragging rights IJO panfish tournament, but not bad as the field was very close!! Lots of fish were pushed off the edges of wind blown points hovering over 20 ft of water. White was the color of the weekend and Emily had 3 muskies on! They kept eating her bluegills!

It was great to hang out and see everyone 🥰🥰

Lots of great fish caught and we stayed at a great little Air B&B! Right next to the public launch. Definitely worth checking out if you're planning on staying in the area: https://www.airbnb.com/rp/joshandemilyj2?p=stay

Had a nice weekend on the water! Fishing was totally in a transition, fish were in every corner of the lake! We like to leave the fish up Shallow alone, but there was no shortage of fish that were either still getting ready to spawn or have spawned already. We found water temperatures ranging from 57 degrees all the way to 66 degrees! We figure after all of the heat and the sun the crappies should be starting to start settling into their summer patterns, while the Bluegill start moving Shallow.

Our friend Corey has been busy with some new stuff over in his shop. Since he likes panfish ALMOST as much as we do, we thought we'd have him on to share his new products and talk spring pan fishing.

Last weekend was a whirlwind of highs and lows! We stuck it out and used what we knew would work and it did... eventually!
First off we are stubborn and use artificial baits as much as we can. During the morning and the day we were in a good spot on a very busy section of river. It seemed like everyone was catching all around us! We couldn't buy a bite... people we're throwing everything, jigs, spinners, splitshot and minnow. We did the same with little success.
We took a break and went out in the evening and everything changed! There were less boats, the water temp was up and the fish were biting! It was a fun excursion to meet up with some good people!

Josh caught fish with a 2" white swimbait on a 1/8th oz jig, while Emily reluctantly switched to a splitshot and a minnow. After a while, Josh also switched to the minnow because he ran out of his swimbaits. The fish were tight to the edge of the river, but as evening pushed in fish started to chase bait in to the shallows.

We went south this weekend to visit some friends and try our hand at white bass. It was a Roller-coaster! There were fish coming through, but our boat was having a tough time. We stuck it out and it paid off 😁👍🎣 stay tuned!
