Update and… reflexions.

I hope this message finds you all in good health.
Last week I had what should be, and by God I hope it will be, the 6th and last session of my chemotherapy protocol. This has truly been a journey in so many ways. I was forewarned that there would be many ups and downs, and I can say today, that affirmation is certainly an understatement. After my 4th session, I really started feeling the toll on the process. My Doctor told me it was normal, as chemo has a cumulative effect on the body. To suddenly find yourself stopping every couple of steps as you head upstairs to either catch your breath or because your body simply can’t, it’s a truly humbling experience. As the 5th and 6th sessions went on, I found myself struggling in more ways than one could imagine. I stopped driving for weeks at a time; because it just wasn’t safe. As much as I tried protecting myself by being careful and constantly wearing masks, I became sick several times and even had COVID.

As an ex player and lifelong soccer (football) fan, I congratulate Argentina and, especially for a well deserve FIFA World Cup Champions! This was perhaps one of the most intense, thrilling, and incredible finals ever. Both, and deserved to be there.

First time “out” to dinner since back in States. Wanted to have a steak to celebrate our new car. I am beyond excited with this new beginning and immensely lucky and grateful with the company, team, and especially the boss I get to work with. All these wonderful things though, cannot possibly even begin to fill the emptiness I feel for not having my family here… yet. I miss My Mommy Goodness , Vali, & Leo more than words can express. I am anxiously waiting for your arrival. This will be an awesome ride!!! My love and Blessings to all!!!

Being a father is NOT a biological event. Being a father is so much more. Being a father is being that man your child needs, looks up to, and knows to count on for the rest of their lives.
