Hey, Cabo Wobblers,

Len here. By now you may have heard (or are just hearing) that I’ve been suspended from WAPL for awhile, at least, so I cannot join you on this year’s trip. I really regret that, but it’s an issue that WAPL and I are working through which will take time. No firm or final decisions have yet been reached. I ask that you not let it negatively affect your Cabo experience. Travel Leaders will make it a fantastic trip as always and Rick and John are well equipped (and thirsty enough) to hold down the WAPL fort without me. Your mission is to enjoy your vacation the way you guys always do. I remain hopeful that this isn’t the last you hear from me. I do have one request, however; please enjoy a spectacularly colorful and tasty tropical drink for me! - Len

Hi, I'm Kelly Radandt, General Manager of employee-owned Woodward Radio Group. This was not an easy decision to hit pause and take a moment as Len mentions. The timing couldn't have been worse. I get it. My hope is that you will go and have a good time and that next year we are back to partying together wherever the International Incident will be. Maybe I'll even be with all of you and you can give me a piece of your mind over drinks at the bar. Believe me...I didn't want this to happen. Anyway, we pride ourselves on being honest here and want to be with all of you. We do appreciate you. Please call me at (920) 831-5655 if you'd like to talk to me personally. Please have a good time on this trip. It's been a tough 11 months...you all deserve some fun in the sun.
- Kelly

So sad to report that Gary Neuber passed away yesterday. A few weeks before last year‘s international incident, I checked in with Gary to find out if that was going to be number eight or number nine. It was number nine. But he also added, in what seemed like a very Gary way, “I’ve got some sh*t going on with my brain”.

Gary was in the process of being diagnosed for some kind of brain cancer. It didn’t stop him from going on the trip and it certainly didn’t seem to stop him from enjoying it. He was the picture of optimism. I checked in on him a couple of times in the months after trip and, from what he said, the treatments seem to be going well. I was happy to see that Gary and Cindy had signed up to make it number 10 this year in Cabo. But it was not to be. He was just 58.

Our deepest condolences to Cindy and to Gary‘s entire family.

Great news, fellow Cabo travelers! Sandos resort now tells us that long pants and closed toe shoes are NOT REQUIRED for men in the restaurants. Bermuda style shorts and nice sandals are fine. The shorts in the picture are not, thank you!

"Give Back" Opportunity
This year we have a unique opportunity to "Give Back" to the Mexican people. If you have ever visited Mexico, you will agree that what makes the Mexican people so special is their friendliness and willingness to serve. We have been notified that a local community center that helps children with domestic abuse, limited resources, etc. needs donations. The community center "La Playa" can be found on Facebook and they also have a website that explains their mission. http://www.elganzocomunitario.org/. Any supplies that you can bring to help with this worthwhile cause are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the community. These items should fit in your carry on or checked bag and the same fees & restrictions apply. Suggested items are: reusable cloth face masks, disposable face masks, backpacks, pencil cases, folders, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, notebooks, deflated soccer balls, small balls, etc. Many of these items can be purchased at a local dollar store.

Mexico Tourist Card https://www.mexicotouristcard.com/ print, complete & sign-one per person (keep together, do not separate. Immigration officials will stamp in Mexico and put the right side in your passport. Keep this for your return-$50 charge if lost avoid delays at the airport, below is a list of the forms that can be filled out ahead of time. The agent listed on the attached confirmation can assist with any questions you may have.

Mexico Health Form -print TWO copies for each person, fill out on DAY of arrival & day of departure into Mexico and sign at the bottom. You can also choose to scan the QR code on the attached. The QR should only be scanned on the date of departure, as the information is based on the traveler´s health on that day. If utilizing the QR code, it can be scanned with the camera on your phone. Some phones have the QR scanning APP preloaded, some don´t. Currently, Swift Air is not displaying in the drop down for the online application, so you can use "other" Please note that the QR or online method should only be used on DAY of travel. Swift Airlines requires the presentation of this health form prior to checking in. You will need to present again upon arrival to Mexico and the departure form to TSA when departing Mexico.

Copy of your passport for check-in

If you don´t fill out the forms ahead of time, they will be available in destination or possibly at the airport but note this can delay things.

Be sure the QR code reader is working on your phone, as this is the mode of communication used most frequently at the resort to relay information. There are QR codes displayed throughout the property: in the lobby, in your room, near the elevators, at each restaurant for menus, etc. Hotel activities, show schedules, resort maps and other information can be obtained through the QR code also.

Please feel free to join the WAPL International Incident page to follow along with our group and any updates. https://www.facebook.com/WAPLTrip

We look forward to seeing you soon at the document meeting.

We know you are going to love Cabo!

ATTENTION BIG-HEARTED INTERNATIONAL INCIDENT TRAVELERS

In the past, WAPL International Incident travelers have been very generous by bringing along items to help children in the often impoverished areas that surround the beautiful resorts to which we travel. Our friends at Travel Leaders have contacted a service agency in the Los Cabos area to find out what children need today. This was their response...

“All the schools are currently closed and no gathering activities are allowed so we try to organize activities that can be done from home. On a regular basis, our team prepares packages for kids and families and we deliver them door to door keeping a safe distance”.

The ones with an * are the hot ticket items at the moment.

*Art supply kits (craft paper - paint - scissors - glue - color pencils - wood sticks - pipe cleaners - etc)
*Construction blocks (like Lego)
*Coloring books
*Games (cards - chess - uno - connect 4 - twister -snakes and ladders - dices - etc)
*Skipping ropes
*Marbles
*Reusable water bottles

*Dental kits (cool toothbrush + floss + special toothpaste)
*Cool face masks

School supplies
Lunch boxes
Kids band-aids
Barbies and accessories
Embroidery kit
Color chalks
Play dough
Journals
Stickers
Water guns
Puzzles
Badminton rackets
Caps
Shoes
T-shirts with cool signs printed on
Wool socks
Blankets

As always, your choice to participate or not is purely your own. But anything you choose to do is certainly is appreciated. Thank you in advance so much for your kindness.

The latest from Travel Leaders on Cabo...

On January 12, 2021, the CDC updated its policy that air passengers entering the U.S. will be required to
present documentation of a negative COVID-19 viral test (called a Qualifying Test) conducted within the
3 days before their flight to the U.S. departs.
Travel Leaders applauds the CDC for taking these steps to enhance health and safety for our guests,
knowing that your fellow air travelers have tested negative for COVID 19 upon return home.

Travel Leaders – Discovery World Travel and Apple Leisure Group/Funjet Vacations are pleased to
present a procedure and protocol plan for WAPL International Incident guests at the Sandos Finisterra.
Sandos Finistera Covid 19 Testing Protocols
1. FREE TESTING – Sandos alliance with AMC hospitals offers the Antigen tests for free and PCR
tests at a reduced price for Sandos Finistera guests. Tests will take place within 3 days of
departure from Mexico. You do not need a test to depart from the U.S. although recommended.
2. CONVENIENCE - All tests are carried out on the resort.
3. FREE EXTENDED STAY FOR 14 DAYS FOR POSITIVE TEST - In the case of detecting positive cases
of COVID-19 in guests who require confinement, a stay will be granted at no extra cost at the
resort for 14 days. This does not mean you have to stay 14 days, just that it is covered for up to
14 days at no extra charge.
4. Health Protocols – Wear a mask, wash your hands and social distancing, just as you do at home.
5. What if I have had a COVID-19 vaccine or have tested positive for antibodies? Do I still need a
negative COVID-19 test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19? Yes, at this time all air
passengers traveling to the US, regardless of vaccination or antibody status, are required to
provide a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery.

Insurance and cancellation questions - Your Travel Leaders advisor can provide you with details on
your specific coverage. If you did not purchase insurance coverage, your advisor can answer any
questions you might have.
We also want to make you aware President Biden signed an Executive Order January 21, 2021 entitled
Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel. This executive order requires masks on
airplanes and airports, a negative COVID-19 test result for international arrivals and guidelines including
recommended periods of self-quarantine or self-isolation after entry into the U. S. The leaders of
several cabinet departments are to develop the details of the order in the next two weeks. The order
appears very similar to existing CDC recommendations.
We appreciate your patience as we worked to finalize these plans to provide you with a safe,
convenient, and trustworthy protocol initiative.
Cabo is going to be amazing!

"Our partners at Apple Leisure Group/Funjet Vacations are working with hotels, destinations and ground handlers to establish procedures. Travel Leaders will proactively update you when we have more information".

Our dear friend Betsy Stark from Travel Leaders will join us on air Friday morning at 7:30. The plan was to announce all the details for the 2021 WAPL International Incident. However, due to some late delays beyond ours and Travel Leader’s control (everything moves slower these days) we may not be able to tell you about the resort just yet. However, at the very least, we will give you the dates and announce our awesome destination. It’s someplace to which we’ve not traveled before.

On the other hand, everything could change in the next few hours, and by 7:30 Friday morning maybe we WILL be able to announce the resort. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻Worst case scenario: Destination on Friday. Resort information early next week. Sooooo hoping you can join us! -Rick-
