Lights, Camera, Video Production & Movie Making in the Classroom

In this video production workshop you will learn the fundamentals needed to make quality videos and producing for and uploading to the web, how to handle all those different video file formats, tricks and tips for getting the most from your cameras, and low cost gear options. Your students will be able to achieve greater success with their media projects once you pass on these basic tools.
This workshop will cover:
Screen writing: A video is a visual story. We'll look at story writing basics, themes and narrative structure and how it applies to film.
Camera basics: How you can get professional results even with simple cameras. Learn framing, exposure, movement.
Audio: "Fifty percent of a film is sound", George Lucas. Great sound in a movie will never be noticed but the audience will always notice bad sound. Learn audio basics that will improve your productions.
Lighting: Without light there is no video. Lighting can set the mood, direct viewers attention, even tell a story. Great lighting does not have to cost a lot of money.
Editing: The fundamentals of putting it all together. This is not a primer on any specific software. The techniques and theories you learn here can be applied to any editing system. Learn how, why, and where to cut. What is "B -Roll" footage and how to plan for and use it. How to trim audio in the editing process
