Intuition
The day has finally arrived - we did a thing! Started 2 years ago, this collaboration between my composition and production and Rändi Fay's vocals and lyrics is certainly my largest and most personal effort to date. This has been the most creatively fulfilling project I've worked on to date. Really looking forward to when we are able to show this to the world.
TBT to one year ago!! We had no release date in sight, and were simply digging into making music. And here we are. ✨✨✨
“I am so excited to be back in the studio again with co-writer and producer Aaron Zinsmeister at his new location! These past two weeks we have recorded vocals to "Melancholia," the fifth of 10 songs from our upcoming project "Intuition." We also have been heavy into crafting song six, "East of Pain." This has been a challenging work, both emotionally as a writer and physically as a vocalist, as we dig into the confusing, passionate spectrum of love and self-awareness. "Pa Mi Gente" es un lanzamiento especial para mi y mi equipo. Es mi primer corrido, y mi primer sencillo oficial en Espanol. Hasta la fecha es por una razon especial. El dia 8 de Agosto de 1879 nacio uno de mis heroes, Emiliano Zapata. El lucho toda su vida por el pueblo, por los derechos de los campesinos y las comunidades Indigenas.
Yo, como el, quiero mucho al pueblo y trato de hacer todo por mi gente. Este es solo el principio. Con este video, quiero dar a la luz a la comunidad Latinx en el area de Green Bay. Y mi comunidad respondio muy bien. Esto es pa mi gente....

This is a special release for me and my team. It will be my first release in the "corridos" genre, and my first official single all in Spanish.
I wanted to showcase the local Latinx communitiy in my area with this video. And, to be honest, the community response was above and beyond my expectations.
I hope that you all enjoy this, I do it all for my people.

I have been working with artist Katrin Schroeder to create an image of a firefly for print material, as the a firefly is symbolically woven throughout the project lyrically and visually. I had envisioned a cool rendition of a firefly pendant to wear in the music video, and enlisted high school classmate and jewelry artist Michelle Zaja Winter/ Myska Jewelry to create one based on Katrin’s work.
