Matthew 15:13–14
Scripture:
“Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted… They are blind leaders of the blind.” — Matthew 15:13–14
Devotional:
As women, we are nurturers by nature. We tend gardens—homes, relationships, ministries, and dreams. But Jesus reminds us that not everything growing in our lives was planted by God. Some things took root through people’s opinions, trauma, religious pressure, or our own fear of being unseen or unapproved.
What God did not plant, He will uproot—not to harm us, but to heal us. Uprooting can feel uncomfortable, even painful, yet it is an act of mercy. The Father refuses to let counterfeit growth choke what is authentic.
Jesus also warns us to be discerning about who we follow. A woman without spiritual vision can be led into cycles of confusion, people-pleasing, or burnout. But when we allow God to open our eyes, we become women who walk with clarity, wisdom, and courage.
This season may be about releasing voices, expectations, or roles that no longer align with God’s truth. Trust Him. What He plants in you will remain, flourish, and bear fruit in its proper time.
Reflection Question:
What is God gently uprooting in my life so that His true purpose can grow?
Prayer:
Father, remove anything in me that You did not plant. Heal my vision, sharpen my discernment, and align my heart with Your truth. I choose to follow You, not blindly—but boldly. I the name of JESUS.
