Sunny Brae Porchfest is baaacckkkk 🤸‍♀️🫶

+ it’s bigger and better than ever!!! We can’t wait to release the full line up (very soon!)🤭

In the meantime, we are reminding you that Porchfest is a labor of love but we do need funds to cover costs like porta potty’s and street closure fees. Do you want to sponsor Porchfest and help keep the magic alive? Email [email protected] and we’ll go from there ⭐️

This year we’re exited to debut our Porchfest newspaper!! When you arrive you can pick up one of our newspapers that will have a map, schedule, and other fun info. If you sponsor Porchfest, that other fun info could be about you and your biz! 💃

The next Art Attitude with Wendy Butler tomorrow morning (Sunday, Aug. 23, 10-11 a.m. on KHHA-LP Arcata 94.7 FM and humboldthotair.org) features, first, potter Peggy Loudon and painter Marceau Verdiere. The two are sharing an exhibit titled "Pentimento" at Tidal Gallery in Eureka. Next, Access Humboldt Executive Director Christina Marie Jeffers at the organization’s new home: 341 West Harris St., Eureka, formerly Poletski’s Appliance Center. Wendy Butler's latest Art Attitude broadcast is now available for listening in our KHHA-LP Arcata/Humboldt Hot Air archives at https://spinitron.com/Humboldt-Hot-Air/pl/22877961/Art-Attitude First, Sasha Lyth discusses her “Blueprints to the Wilderness” exhibition on display at the Morris Graves Museum of Art in Eureka, through this Sunday, August 23. She talks about her ongoing “collaboration” with the natural world and how she reflects this in her exhibit, which is more of an installation. It surrounds the viewer. Next on the program is Redwood Community Services ECM Coordinator Nicole German. This nonprofit organization provides services in Lake, Mendocino and Humboldt counties. RCS began as a foster family agency and has expanded to now include youth residential services and treatment as well as housing for youth and adults. We had so much fun interviewing artists, learning more about the art / culture, and getting to know the awesome KMUD team who makes the whole thing happen ❤️💛💚

Plus how could you not have the best weekend ever at Reggae on the River ™ ?! The world class line up exceeded expectations, the food and vendors were awesome, staff and volunteers were kind and helpful, camping was cozy, and the swimming along the eel was the perfect touch 🌟 we can’t wait for next year !!

So great to have Eddy Mitchell, Spencer Kennedy, and David Reed in the studio today (pictured here) plus Xeff Scolari and Scotty Robertson! They came on to talk about the upcoming Food for People, Inc fundraiser this Saturday night at Eagle House Events 🍔🫐🍿🥑🍰

There’s an awesome lineup of local talent including Good Enuff covering the Ramones “It’s Alive”, the Good Time Charlie’s, Widdershins, and Dos Galletas. All proceeds benefit our local food bank, Food for People.

Tomorrow morning's Art Attitude is all about the upcoming film "Rose Colored Glass." It's a stage-to-screen story that began nearly 30 years ago at Plays-In-Progress/World Premiere Theatre in Eureka. Joining Wendy Butler in the Humboldt Hot Air studio will be Carol Lang, the film's producer, and Alan Olmstead, associate producer.
