In the studio, two members of bands featured in the film: Jeff Langdon of The Hitch, which will perform during the main event that includes a screening of “Rural Rock & Roll” on Saturday, Jan. 17, and Jesse Pearson of The Buffy Swayze, which will reunite for a performance opening night Friday, Jan. 16. Next, a Zoom interview with another musician featured in the film – rapper JPG, who will emcee opening night and also closing night, which is Sunday, Jan. 18. On Art Attitude later this morning (Sunday, Jan. 4) beginning at 10 a.m., Wendy Butler continues her coverage of Jensen Rufe’s 2006 documentary “Rural Rock & Roll” which will have its 20th anniversary celebration Jan. 16-18 in Arcata and Eureka. Guests will be three musicians featured in the film and who, along with their bands, will perform during anniversary weekend. Live in the Humboldt Hot Air studio will be Jesse Pearson of The Buffy Swayze and Jeff Langdon of The Hitch. They'll be followed by a recorded interview with rapper JPG. Not only a loyal underwriter since the beginning, but also a cherished and irreplaceable community institution. Happy New Year everyone !! 🌟 2025 was HUGE for Humboldt Hot Air. Of course we entered into the world of terrestrial radio, but we also welcomed so many new DJs (and listeners!) collectively discovered hours of new music, made new friends, said goodbye to old friends, learned (and continue to learn) about the technology of it all, and we expect to keep growing and adapting for many years to come 🌝 what a journey! Thank you all for coming along 🫶
