“I no longer fear being forgotten. What I fear is leaving behind a generation that learned nothing from my mistakes.”
I decided to interview my dad and my father in law this past week.
Very similar in many ways. But two things stood out to me (in two separate interviews) as we spent hours with them.
1. The concern of “have I done enough to prepare them,” in relation to children, never goes away. Even after they’ve created their own lives as adults.
2. Time is the most valuable resource you have. Give as much as you can to your kids.
