The Denton County Commissioners Court has enacted a burn ban for all of Denton County beginning July 25, 2023. The hot weather and dry conditions create the perfect storm for wildfires to spread throughout our community. Outdoor burning is not allowed until the burn ban has been lifted.

This applies to:
• Outdoor burning of flammable materials such as trash, wood, leaves, brush, etc. This includes controlled burns, campfires and fire pits.

• Outdoor cooking on an open flame is prohibited unless the cooking device is propane, natural gas, wood or charcoal AND has a complete and full enclosure. Please ensure a five-foot radius around the cooking device is clear of anything combustible.

• Outdoor welding, metal grinding and cutting have specific guidelines that can be found on the Denton County Emergency Services District 1 page.

Please help us keep the Town of Argyle safe and protect our community. Spread the word to your friends and neighbors in Denton County.
