CatskillsAir began as a vision from Glen Faulkner, General Manager of Margaretville Telephone Company. With the feeling of a void in informational, local news content, Glen brought together a group of Catskills based talent to start discussing the creation of a local broadcast TV station. The purpose was to serve the communities in our region with clean, Catskills centric news and entertainment. The plan is to initially air programming on MTC Channel 1 with the hopes of possible expansions further down the road.

This week on CatskillsAir - Unfiltered: New York's Watershed Battle.
The film traces the history of New York's water system, of the JP Morgan backed "depopulation plan" for the Catskills, and the current murky plans for converting watershed land owned by the city into transmission and solar infrastructure.
Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm.

Clean Sweep 2026!

Clean Sweep provides the opportunity to clean out potentially dangerous materials from your home, garage, basement or barn. Household hazardous wastes, pharmaceutical wastes, sharps and syringes, agricultural pesticides, and conditionally exempt small quantity generator waste is collected during Clean Sweep for safe disposal.

Hazardous waste is any product that is toxic in nature and should not be disposed of as everyday trash. Hazardous waste requires special handling, processing and disposal.

30th Annual Clean Sweep 2026, Chemical Disposal Day:
• Friday, October 9th: Businesses, Farms, Municipalities ONLY
• Saturday, October 10th: Households ONLY

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Register online at cleansweepdelaware.eventbrite.com.

This public service is brought to you by the Delaware County Department of Public Works and the Watershed Agricultural Council (WAC), with funding from Delaware County NY Government, WAC, DEP and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
