Leonardo DRS announced today that it has entered into a contract with Doosan Enerbility to provide the electric propulsion system for the Republic of Korea Navy’s KDDX destroyer program, the lead ship of which is being built by Hanwha Ocean. KDDX is a next-generation guided-missile destroyer, considered a cornerstone of South Korea’s future naval fleet requirements. The program is expected to deliver at least six destroyers and represents South Korea’s first indigenously designed and built destroyer program.

DVD Millbrook 2026 is a wrap and our team left with some great conversations and even better demonstrations.

Mounted on a Supacat Jackal, our DDUx processor sat at the heart of an integrated system driving three radars, commander and crew displays, and intercom systems into a single operating picture. We ran it with two different battle management software packages side-by-side, proof that our architecture adapts to the mission, not the other way around.

It was a great few days of engagement with UK Land Forces and industry colleagues. Excited to keep building on these conversations.

Leonardo DRS was honored to welcome Council member Oscar Gutierrez of the City of Santa Barbara, along with representatives from the offices of Congressman Salud Carbajal and California State Assemblymember Gregg Hart, during our recent Goleta facility open house and ribbon-cutting celebration.

The Leonardo DRS team was also grateful to receive special recognition from the offices of Congressman Carbajal and Assemblymember Hart in acknowledgment of our continued presence in the Goleta community and our work supporting mission-critical capabilities for our customers.

Leonardo DRS announced today that its Airborne and Intelligence Systems business unit has been awarded a $39.6 million contract by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for the production and delivery of Joint Tactical Terminal Transceiver (JTT-X) units. The firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract includes non-recurring engineering, production, aircraft integration, qualification, and production support for the EA-18G Growler aircraft.

Leonardo DRS was proud to celebrate an important milestone at our Goleta facility with an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Joined by employees, community partners, industry leaders and invited guests, we recognized the continued growth of our Goleta team and its work advancing mission-focused technologies for our customers.

As part of the celebration, Leonardo DRS presented a $10,000 donation to Fisher House Southern California. The gift will support the Greater Los Angeles Fisher House, which provides no-cost temporary lodging for military and veteran families while their loved ones receive care at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center.

Thank you to the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce, Fisher House Southern California and everyone who helped make the event a success.

Leonardo DRS, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded contracts totaling $96 million to provide critical electronics hardware for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS). The MK 41 VLS is the U.S. Navy’s premier shipborne missile launching system and is also fielded by 14 allied navies worldwide. The awards reinforce Leonardo DRS’s role in supporting naval combat system readiness with trusted, mission-critical electronics.
