I met Phil French (Dajazzybear) when he came to eat at the restaurant where I work as a chef.

Honestly, I was nervous… I was worried he might not like the flavor, especially knowing how sharp his taste is and how openly he shares his opinions.

But after he finished his meal, he walked by, gently placed his hand on my shoulder, and smiled as he thanked me for the food.

In that moment, I felt a strange mix of fear and happiness… but his simple words made all the worry disappear.

It became one of my favorite moments — a reminder that true appreciation comes from kindness and humility.
