Join us for the 12th Annual ATown Teen Film Festival! We received an incredible number of submissions from local, talented, teen filmmakers.

Films will be screened this Wednesday June 4, 2025, at the Regent Theatre in Arlington. Doors at 6:30PM, show's at 7PM.

Following the screenings, we will present awards in several categories—including cash prizes—as well as an “Audience Favorite” award based on live voting. We hope to see you there!

Calling area youth filmmakers! We are looking for YOUR short films that are 10 minutes or less in length. Accepting any genre (fiction, non-fiction/documentary, commercial, music video, animation, etc!). The deadline for submitting your work is May 8th 2025. Details at acmi.tv/atown

The ATown Teen Film Festival is hosted in Arlington and celebrates local creative storytelling, animation and filmmaking by students grades 7-12. The showcase provides regional exposure, peer recognition, and an opportunity for the curated films to be shared on the big screen in front of a live audience. Prizes will be awarded in different categories on June 4th at the Regent Theatre.

Last weekend, joined its neighboring communities of Lexington and Concord in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, considered by many to be the most significant political revolution in human history.

On Sunday, April 20th, starting at 2 pm, the bloody Battle of Menotomy (as Arlington was known at the time) was reenacted along the stretch of Mass Ave extending from Arlington High School to Town Hall. This is the path the British forces took in retreating from Concord and Lexington, and they were constantly ambushed along the way by local Minutemen.

Several of those ambushes were re-created, including the conflict that took place on the grounds of the Jason Russell House, a battle that claimed more lives than any other in those initial days. ACMi provided live coverage of the Reenactment organized by Arlington MA 250, be sure to watch the video online.
