TUESDAY’S TIME TO TALK
Let’s talk today. Let’s have a real mature discussion about marriage. What if you treated your spouse as God’s greatest earthly gift to you?

How would your words change? Your attitude? Your actions?

When we began seeing each other as God’s precious gift, our marriage changed. It blossomed. We became more intentional with our words, quicker to forgive, and more eager to extend grace. The more we honored God’s gift, the stronger our marriage became.

Marriage isn’t about marrying a perfect person because none of us are perfect. It’s about faithfully loving the person God has entrusted to you. Every day is another opportunity to choose love, kindness, mercy, and grace.

How would your marriage change if you intentionally treated your spouse as God’s greatest gift every single day?

TUESDAY’S TIME TO TALK
Married Couples Everywhere… It’s Tuesday, and It’s Time to Talk!

Is forgiveness something that is difficult for you? It certainly was for us during the early years of our marriage.

When we were upset with one another, we would sometimes withhold our love, affection, and forgiveness for an entire week. Over time, that became several days. Then we convinced ourselves that we were at least “entitled” to stay upset for 24 hours.

Knowing what we know today, we now race to forgive one another. Why? Because forgiveness is that important.

As we studied God’s Word, we came to understand the seriousness of Jesus’ teaching. According to Scripture, God expects us to forgive others just as He has forgiven us. Realizing that our own fellowship with God could be hindered by an unwillingness to forgive completely changed our perspective.

Today, forgiveness has become a race in our home—not because it’s always easy, but because honoring God is more important than holding on to hurt.

It took time. It took practice. It took humility. But faith is meant to be lived, not merely believed.

To the Husbands:

Keep your home covered in prayer. Do not allow pride or unresolved conflict to keep you from living according to God’s Word.

“Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect… so that nothing will hinder your prayers.” — 1 Peter 3:7

To Both Husbands and Wives:

Our desire should be to enjoy God’s favor in our homes. One of the greatest blessings we have is the privilege of talking with God through prayer. We should desire His forgiveness for both our public and private sins.

Jesus gives us this reminder:

“And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” — Mark 11:25

May we all choose forgiveness quickly, love deeply, and honor God daily by putting His Word into practice in our marriages.

Would you agree that forgiveness is one of the greatest keys to building a stronger, healthier, and happier marriage?

Seek peace each and every day in your home through the words you speak, the thoughts you think, and the prayers you seek.

May the Lord bless you with the peace that surpasses all understanding as you seek to honor Him and become a peacemaker in your home and in the lives of others.

When trouble raises its head in any area of married life, pray first for wisdom and clarity before you speak.
Seek to honor God.

TUESDAYS TIME TO TALK:
To married couples around the world. It’s time to talk. It’s time to take our marriage more serious. It’s Time to Pray. It’s time to position our marriage for greater success.

Marriage is not built on feelings alone. It is built on a commitment to honor God above all else. When we honor God first, we are better equipped to love, honor, and serve one another as husband and wife.

The Bible reminds us in Romans 12:1 that our bodies are to be presented as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. Our first devotion belongs to Him. From that foundation, every other relationship—including our marriage—can flourish.

Would you agree? Why or why not? We would love to hear your thoughts.
