I must apologize for our out-of-date Facebook status. We're much better at shooting and editing video than we are at promoting ourselves. I'll do better in the future.

I have a sad announcement. Our co-founder (and my father, mentor and friend) Ted Winberg passed away last Sunday. He was 85. I could write a book about him, but I'll simply say that he was a good man and left this world better than when he found it.

A lamb processing plant tour video that Aries Productions shot and edited earlier this year has been released by the North American Meat Institute. Hosted by Dr. Temple Grandin, the video is a part of the "Glass Walls" series of videos. This series underscores the ways in which modern animal processing plants employ humane animal handling methods and advanced technologies to produced a high-quality, affordable and safe food source.

Last week, we travelled to Northern California to shoot Dr. Temple Grandin in a sheep production facility, where we captured many of the innovations that Dr. Grandin has brought to the food industry– including humane animal handling techniques, increased animal welfare policies and facility innovations which benefit both animals and humans. Crew included Aries Director/Cameraman Wynn Winberg and Grip Mitch Winberg.

Afterward...we headed out in search of winery tours, of course!

We've just heard that our friend Gunnar Hansen has passed away. We worked with Gunnar during the production of THE FEARMAKERS. He was an accomplished writer and will always be remembered for his iconic role as "Leatherface" in THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE.

Aries Productions Producer/Director Wynn Winberg recently joined his father (and Aries co-founder) Ted Winberg in Jackson, Wyoming for some vacation time--and of course vacation time means shooting video! Here, at Jenny Lake at the base of the Grand Tetons, we gathered time-lapse footage of clouds boiling across mountains, as well as many other beauty shots on our Sony PXW-FS7 camera.

Video is always a powerful way to communicate your message. It immediately engages the audience and packs a lot of information into a short period of time. We recently created this new Kickstarter video to help raise funds for a client that wanted to expand his facilities. Directed, shot and edited by Aries President Wynn Winberg and supported by Camera Assistant Mitch Winberg, the footage was captured in an evening with our PXW-FS7 camera and completed in a few days.
