Antidote Events - For nearly 10 years Antidote has been curating annual events like the January long Passport to the World Festival at the Creative Cauldron theater-listening room, and the McLean Project for the Arts October Artfest, in addition to many one off events and music series. Music City DC - The history of Popular Music in DC is a lecture series presented by Antidote's Ken Avis which highlights the spectacular, and sometimes forgotten, history of the DC areas incredible musical legacy. Covering all genres of music, social and technology change in the nations capital, Music City DC has been presented at Smithsonian, Encore Learning at George Mason University and for Fairfax Arts as a multi-part series, and as one off events tailored to audiences. Award-winning DC musicians Lynn Veronneau & Ken Avis present music to feed your soul and move your hips.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our Antidote Records table at NERFA to chat. Antidote celebrated two charting records in October, Véronneau’s “Blue Tapestry” in the Folk chart, Valeria Stewart’s “Raices/Roots” in the World chart - 6 weeks at #1 and still there.

So what next? Glad you asked! Three releases on the horizon for 2026. The debut album by Guitar Renegades, Grey Jacks’ “iNTERgenerational”, and IO The Singer’s DC Jazz history project….who knows what else!?!?

Moving on up those charts. Our Blue Tapestry album is making it's mark on the Top 10 Folk Chart. It's playing on jazz radio too, in the US and Canada. Onwards!

This wonderful album by Arlington based musician Valeria Stewart has been at #2 on the RMR world-music chart for the last 3 weeks. Today it entered the NACC Top 30 charts for world music and for Latin music.

We’re so thrilled and proud to have released this album on Antidote Records, the most musically diverse, and interesting, boutique record label supporting DC artists. Onwards and upwards.

I love this music by Valeria Stewart featuring some of the DC area's finest musicians including Kevin Dudley (guitar), Eugenio Ibarz (bass), Juan Megna (drums), and Grey Jacks (backing vocals).
