2026 Role Model Program Updates fo the international title!!!
Royal International Miss is re-launching the Role Model Program to better highlight each delegate’s ability to serve, speak, and lead.
This year’s updates will allow judges to see how you share your ideas, connect with others, and represent your platform in real time—not just through written materials.
⸻
What’s Staying the Same
• Evening Gown – No changes here.
• Video Introduction – Same format you know and love.
• Private Interview with Judges – Still panel style, friendly, and conversational.
⸻
Other notes
Because we’ve added new areas of competition (explained below), your video introduction and personal interview will no longer be as focused on your International Service Project. Instead, you’ll have dedicated moments to present and speak about your project in the new phases. During your video introduction and personal one on one interview, the judges want more of an overview of their service in all areas and who they are individually.
⸻
New Phases of Competition
1. Onstage Question – 30 Seconds
This is your opportunity to show the judges how you speak as a community leader.
• You’ll draw a question from a fishbowl to answer in front of the audience. Questions will be open ended in nature, given to you in advance and age appropriate.
• Example: “What has community service taught you?” rather than “Tell us about your time at Special Olympics.”
This phase helps judges see if you’re comfortable, confident, and relatable when speaking in public—skills every Role Model Queen needs.
THESE QUESTIONS WILL BE PROVIDED AHEAD OF TIME! THEY WILL BE AGE APPROPRIATE AND NOT DIFFICULT ❤️
⸻
2. RoyalTalk Presentation – 2 Minutes + 2 Minutes Q&A
Your chance to present your International Service Project idea in a clear, engaging way.
• You’ll use a trifold display board to visually outline your project.
• The board itself will not be judged—it’s a tool for you to reference, like note cards.
• You have 2 minutes to present your idea, followed by 2 minutes of judge Q&A.
• Judges want to see that your project can be understood, carried out, and impactful.
Why it matters: At the end of Internationals in Orlando, the judges will select one project as the official International Service Project for the upcoming year. This means your RoyalTalk is more than a phase, it’s your chance to show you’re ready to lead a project that could be adopted across the entire organization.

We are super excited about these changes because I truly think they give every delegate the opportunity to speak for herself, demonstrate service readiness, and inspire others with her ideas.r
