A former musician in high school who has an profound love for music. Smooth Jazz is my favorite genre. I love sharing sounds from my extensive collection that have a soothing/cooling affect on listeners. The music heard on “Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio’s personal collection of music; Artists such as Pieces Of A Dream, Kim Waters, Ronny Jordan, Lee Ritenour, and Candy Dulfer are just some of the many w

ell know musicians that are played on the station. In addition, Mr. Radio has found a number of new and upcoming artists who he believes are on the way to stardom. The selection process for songs that are played is based on my feeling when I hear the song for the first time. In a lot of cases, it does not take more than a minute to feel the vibe of the songs. The DFW area lacks a portal to which area residents can get a fix of Smooth Jazz. Mr. Radio definitely can help fill the void and share with the whole world. Radio is passionate about his station, and continues to grow his audience. “Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio” gives artists the chance to get more exposure and it listeners the sounds to help make the day go by.

Just in case you hadn't heard!

One of my all time favorite jazz musicians has passed last night. He was one of my first introductions to smooth jazz. Albums like "Speak Easy", "Vo**ur", "A Change of Heart", "Close-Up" were just a few of the many I loved to listen to. His sound was very unique; I could hear him playing a song and pick up very quickly that is was Sanborn blowing his also saxophone. My prayers go out to his family and friends. He left a wealth of good jazz music to listen to!
