The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Ellis County in northwestern Oklahoma...
Central Roger Mills County in western Oklahoma...
Southwestern Woodward County in northwestern Oklahoma...

* Until 1045 PM CDT.

* At 955 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles south of Shattuck to 9 miles west of
Camargo, moving south at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Shattuck, Arnett, Hammon, Strong City, Crawford, Harmon, Roll,
Durham, and Angora.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The Arnett fire department will be selling 4th of July T-shirts. Kid & adult sizes will be available in regular t-shirt or soft style. Preorders are open from now until Noon tomorrow.

Hey guys — we have a quick challenge for you, but we are on a tight deadline.

We want a couple of great pix of Ellis County fans watching that historic Thunder victory last night.

So post a few pix of your kids, your besties, your sweetie pie, your parents, your neighbors, your dog or just simple ole you in your Thunder gear watching the game last night.

We don’t care if it was in your living room alone, a local gathering or even at the game.

We just want to see you and print a few. So someday, 100 years from now, when historians are talking about the first of many Thunder championships, they see your smiling faces and remember this championship is as much western Oklahoma’s as anywhere else in our great state.
