When someone mispronounces your name, does it offend you?

I read a LinkedIn post this morning where the author had expressed dissatisfaction over their name being consistently mispronounced, and it immediately resonated with me (for reasons that should be fairly obvious).

While I agreed with the premise of the post, I am not sure I agreed with the proposals (though they appeared to be overwhelmingly popular going by the sheer number of comments that were in the affirmative).

So, here I am - sharing my opinion on a non-technical subject. Watch it at your own risk!
