Acme Ventures — including Acme News and Acme Solutions — will be taking a break starting at the end of this week as our managing director begins medical leave for a scheduled surgery.

During this downtime, lasting through the end of the year, we’ll also be taking the time to rebuild and update our systems behind the scenes and finalize new services we're excited to announce in 2026.

On January 1st, 2024, Acme Ventures LLC will officially pass ownership of Randolph News Now to the North State Journal. The new look of the site rolled out overnight is one of the final steps and was taken to help Randolph News Now better reflect its new home. It's been a truly rewarding journey since late 2020 when we set out to build a brand-new local news site from the ground up. After 1,000 articles and more than two million page views, we are immensely proud of what we built. With the resources and expertise of the North State Journal now behind the site we are excited to see where it will go next.
