🦂 Skorpium - Invocation Of Self
(Dropping November 7th)
•• Skorpium, a veteran DJ and member of the TOUCH Samadhi collective,
joins the label with this two-track EP, signaling more high-tempo
nighttime trance to come.
🧪 “Inner labyrinth” is a deeply personal track about individual choice and
authenticity, a descent into the deepest aspects of self, featuring a dense
ambient soundscape and a groovy bass that shifts dramatically at the
midpoint of the song.
🐍 “Snakehawke,” a collaboration with Kri Samadhi, is a tribute to an
Asheville psytrance scene figure who passed away recently and whose
voice appears in the song. Reflecting the early days of trance in
Asheville, the tune was largely built with synthesizers that featured
prominently in turn-of-the-century psytrance, such as the Access Virus,
Octave CAT, and the EDP WASP.
