The Great Work Book combines a tarot journal, logbook, and activity book to organize information for tarot studies. It features over 250 pages, including 17 tarot-related activities on Astrology and Qabalah, and nearly 200 journal pages for each tarot card, Zodiac sign, and Tree of Life position. It includes symbol, color, and deck reference charts, making it a comprehensive guide for tracking tarot symbols, meanings, and personal insights. This DIY encyclopedia is a valuable resource for exploring tarot symbolism, astrology, and Qabalah.

I keep saying I’m going to chill out on these deep one-card studies. They are rewarding but can also be intense and draining. However, the Princess of Cups was in the neighborhood and introduced herself, so I took the opportunity. And I’m glad I did! It was an honor to spend time with this wonderful lady over the past few months. We talked about the rivers, plants, and animals, especially turtles, which are her favorites. We also discussed healing from natural disasters and emotional trauma, as well as her weird uncle, The Hanged Man.

New items for the upcoming Dark Market! Mixed-media blank journals and creepy greeting cards!

Join us at Highland Brewing on Friday, August 1, from 5-9 PM with many other amazing makers. We will be selling these new items alongside our esoteric study aids and gifts.

About The New Items…
I created these odd greeting card designs a while ago and never released them through Numinous Press because they are not technically esoteric in nature. The ideas keep coming, so I’ve decided to create a division within Numinous Press for my creations that don’t quite fit into the occult or esoteric themes. Ms. Fortune Cards & Stationery will make its debut at this week’s Dark Market with the Apocalypso series of greeting cards. These will be added to the Numinous Press website after the market. More designs will be added if there is demand.

I also need some space in the studio, so I turned some of the scrap paper I’ve been hoarding into blank mixed-media journals. Two sizes available, with envelopes bound-in for storage. Any remaining mixed-media journals will be added to the Numinous Press website after the market.

New Substack out today, and it’s all about one of the most dreaded cards in the deck: The Tower. ♂︎🔥🤯☢️

This article was inspired by my conversation about The Tower with , , and .t.wanders on the Podcast, as well as the research I did beforehand. It focuses on different types of change, ego control, vengeance, and how these might appear in a reading. I also explore other cards connected to The Tower and its intriguing position on the Tree of Life. As always, there will be examples of how I document The Tower in The Great Work Book.

In Part I of Troubled Waters, I wrote about what it was like to spend a year with The Hanged Man. In the second part, I want to focus less on my personal experiences and more on the symbolic and academic aspects of the card. We’ll look at the Golden Dawn’s take on The Hanged Man along with astrological, Qabalistic, and associated mythologies.

Hello everyone! We are back up and running after the floods caused by Hurricane Helene. Our power has been restored, but we are still without water which has caused quite a readjustment in our city and personal lives. I will hopefully be back to regular social media and blog posts as soon as my routines are stabilized.

You can read about my personal journey through this disaster in a new Substack that's live today. In it, I've shared my tarot reading for the storm, some survival tips for those dealing with a complete loss of services, and links to local charities for donations.

Hello world! We are safe. No power or water and no timeline for repairs. Our house and studio is fine. Long lines for gas and food and cell service is spotty. I have to drive to get internet service and charge my phone but since we have to conserve gas this won’t be often for the foreseeable future.

To those that have placed orders: We were able to ship out today. I can’t print shipping labels without power and have to handwrite labels and manually enter your tracking information. So hopefully everything arrives. Please message me if you have issues. I will check all DM as often as possible.

The image you see is only a few blocks from our home and studio. For those that have seen the devastation of the River Arts District in Asheville, this is close to where we live and our studio is located. RAD is gone. So many small businesses just like mine and homes were washed away this weekend. My heart is so heavy right now.

LIBRA: JUSTICE / ADJUSTMENT
The Daughter of the Lords of Truth: The Ruler of Balance

Except for the Thoth Tarot, all cards in the featured decks use the title Justice for the astrological sign Libra. Crowley renamed this card Adjustment to be more in line with nature. He saw Justice as a purely human concept of morality, stating, "Nature is not just, but Nature is exact."

Crowley also renumbered this card to reference his "Double Loop of the Zodiac" theory, in which Libra and Leo are switched. Regardless of these switches, Libra's card's astrological and Tree of Life correspondences remain the same.

The Great Work Book's Major Arcana Journal is designed to be used with any traditional 78-card deck. For cards with alternate titles, numbers, or Hebrew letters, TGWB offers an excellent system for keeping track of these differences, especially for those who like to use multiple decks.

As you can see, there are a total of five cards in a tarot deck that are connected to a birthday. By mapping the tarot to minute subsections of each Zodiac sign as well as larger seasonal cycles, these five cards present a unique narrative for each person. This narrative can provide insights into one's personality, making it a valuable tool for self-discovery or in reading tarot for others.

The last slide shows a completed Astrology Wheel from The Great Work Book with Virgo's third decan cards highlighted. Additional slides show this decan's cards from the Jungian, Thoth, and Rider-Waite Tarot.

Although the Jungian tarot is based on Cardinal signs, you can use the same system above to create an archetypal narrative with this deck:
