If you’ve lived in Asheville for a while - and especially if you’ve been connected to the music community here - then I’m sure you know Jesse Barry
She’s been one of my closest friends for years and she’s one of the kindest, most talented, and strongest people I’ve known.
For years she’s been such a staple in our music community (and Asheville as a whole), until her life was turned upside down by unfathomable illness.
“Diagnosed with an exhaustive and complicated myriad of autoimmune syndromes, diseases, infections and afflictions, it’s been determined that all of this was triggered by Covid. Despite efforts to work and perform through the pain, by the middle of 2022, the chronic fatigue that accompanies all these maladies forced Jesse out of the workforce and off the stage.”
