I remember that I used to take sunrise/sunsets for granted. I would focus on how many different ways I could capture it, timelapse, slo mo, etc. Then a good friend reminded me that not only is it a privilege to see a sunset, it’s a privilege to see THIS sunset. This events are never promised, and it takes a certain perspective to cherish them knowing they are not guaranteed.

Now when I’m out if someone comments on how boring or plain the sunrise/sunset is I always say “There are a lot of worse ways to spend our time then watching the sunset over these mountains.”

That’s my mindset from now on.

I try not to post about myself often, but it wouldn’t be right to not show how God blessed me to reach this milestone. On Saturday I graduate with my undergrad at East Carolina. I’m am so thankful for all of the support, well wishes, and grace this community has shown me during this journey. So incredibly thankful and humbled.
