I remember that I used to take sunrise/sunsets for granted. I would focus on how many different ways I could capture it, timelapse, slo mo, etc. Then a good friend reminded me that not only is it a privilege to see a sunset, it’s a privilege to see THIS sunset. This events are never promised, and it takes a certain perspective to cherish them knowing they are not guaranteed.

Now when I’m out if someone comments on how boring or plain the sunrise/sunset is I always say “There are a lot of worse ways to spend our time then watching the sunset over these mountains.”

That’s my mindset from now on.
