Where the Green Ants Dream--Dir. Werner Herzog, 1984, 1hr40
The geologist Lance Hackett is employed by an Australian mining company to map the subsoil of a desert area covered with ant hills prior to a possible uranium extraction. His work is impeded by some aborigines who explain that this is the place where the green ants dream. Disturbing their dreaming will destroy humanity, they claim.

The Cremator, 1969, Director Juraj Herz, Czech, 3 wins--considered one best Czech films ever made. Dark Comedy
Czech Karel Kopfrkingl enjoys his job at a crematorium in the late 1930s. He likes reading the Tibetan book of the dead, and espouses the view that cremation relieves earthly suffering. At a reception, he meets Reineke, with whom he fought for Austria in the first World War. Reineke convinces Kopfrkingl to emphasize his supposedly German heritage, including sending his timid son to the German school. Reineke then suggests that Kopfrkingl's half-Jewish wife is holding back his advancement in his job.

RIP Connie Bostic, we are going to miss you!
We've known Connie for 24 years when she came to our gallery to write a review for our first annual Mail Art Show, Anything Goes, Everything Shows. She entered the mail art show every year since the beginning, Mounted 2 Major Art Shows at the gallery, Spotted and helped hang dozens of art shows for us (including our current show on exhibit) published a chapbook with us (at the Black Mountain Press) and will forever be an inspiration to us all. We miss you!
