Crafted Workshop (formerly Crafted Magazine) features video-centric content focused on woodworking, metalworking, and making. Created by Johnny Brooke in January 2014, the publication has recently honed its focus, creating free weekly how-to project videos and publishing this content on the YouTube platform. We’re looking for reader/viewer support to help cover the costs associated with running th

I bet your workbench can’t do this! 😂 Just wrapped up this outfeed table project and I love the way it came together. It’s got tons of Systainer storage, MatchFit work holding, and best of all, I built it on a standing desk base so I can adjust the height to match any tool or work surface in my shop. The video is live on my YouTube channel now!

My next project is underway, I’m working on upgrading this standing desk into a full fledged outfeed/assembly table. I’m in desperate need of Systainer storage here in the garage and I think this cabinet should work great. I personally love keeping my tools in Systainers, they keep things organized and keep all of the accessories for each tool together. I’m using HexaPly for this cabinet, I think it looks amazing for this kind of shop cabinetry. I’ll also be rebuilding the top to add more workholding options to the table, so stay tuned for that!

The French cleat wall is looking pretty awesome in the garage and the video is up on YouTube! This was a major upgrade to the storage in the garage shop and is already making the space feel much more comfortable. People love to hate on French cleat walls but I really prefer them to just screwing stuff to the wall. I love being able to move things around easily as my tools change over time and I feel like I’m way less likely to do that once things are screwed down. Do you use French cleats in your shop?

The garage shop is slowly starting to take shape! Just put out a video talking about which tools made the cut moving from my 3,000 sq ft shop to this 400 sq ft garage. I should be wrapping up the big French cleat wall this week.

3D printing is so fun. I’ve been replaying all the old games lately and wanted something fun to hang on the wall in the shop. Of course, this model was already ready to download from , I just needed to load the right filament colors in my X1 Carbon and get to printing. I plan to print the cartridges for Blue and Yellow next!

I brought my main acoustic, my 000-15M, to my shop for a tune up yesterday and now she’s playing better than ever before. I needed to bring down the saddle height, which is something I’ve avoided doing in the past, but I figured I’ve got the tools so why not try it? The belt grinder made easy work of the task and now the action is 🤌! An acoustic guitar is definitely on my to-build list, I think it’d be a major challenge but also hugely rewarding.

My “beginner” workbench is done and it turned out WAY better than I expected! The video is also live, check it out at the link in my bio. I feel like a solid core door top is the way to go for this style of bench, makes the whole thing much easier to build!

New video on this beginner workbench comes out tomorrow! I took it back to basics on this one, using only the tools in my essential tools list (link in bio). I even built it on top of some sawhorses to really replicate that beginner experience. I’m also super excited to share some big news with y’all, so stay tuned for tomorrow!

I absolutely love the way my modular miter saw station build came together! It was a huge amount of work but it’s added a ton of storage to the shop. I made plans (link in bio) if you want to build one for yourself, and the plans include 12ft and 8ft versions to fit most shop spaces. Thanks!
