ASHEVILLE POLICE ARREST WANTED FELON FOR ALLEDGED POSSESION OF A FIRE ARM AND DRUGS
Asheville Police Department Detectives and Officers arrested a wanted felon in possession of a firearm and drugs Tuesday night in west Asheville.
While conducting proactive enforcement in the west Asheville area, APD detectives and officers made contact with Ramond Doquis Lester (10/08/1992) around 10:02 p.m. on August 5th on Granada Street. Lester was known to be wanted for an open warrant by the U.S. Marshals for a Federal Probation Violation for a weapons offense. Through investigation, he was also found to be in possession of a firearm by a felon and narcotics. Lester was taken into custody without incident.

-22.58g of fentanyl
-3.42g of methamphetamine

Lester was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $35,000 (or $3,500 to a bondsman) secured bond issued by a magistrate.
