Dozens gathered Nov. 15 at Hartburg resident Paul Lester Nichols' home to recognize and thank him for his service in the United States Army from 1945 to 1947.

Dozens of community members, family and friends gathered Saturday morning at Paul Nichols' Hartsburg home to honor him.

Following a vandalism incident over the weekend, Ashland officials are asking residents to call 311 to report vandalism.

The plea came after an Ashland City Park bathroom was vandalized over the weekend.

With a a score of 95.9% on the Annual Performance Report, the Southern Boone School District ranked 10th in the state.
