I am always surprised by how few hits there are on some absolute gems from our area. I have been a fan of Matt since The Peachbones days. This comes from a series that Mark Abrams put together some time back.
I have played this track on the show several times, and it's always been one of my favorites.

I plan to dig up some tracks each day that are overlooked local gems and post them here. If you have any suggestions, let me know.

I just heard a song i have never heard before by The Scenic Route on Wadsworth Community Radio 97.1 FM & On the Web. I knew immediately who it was without having to look.

This is a VERY good quality in an indie band.

The idea that they do not just blend in with everything else, and their style is unique enough that I figured it out in just a few bars.

Great track, by the way.
