The Storm Prediction Center has drawn up multiple high risk areas, highlighting the danger for tornadoes today in IL/IA/MO as well as AR/MS/TN.

The SPC doesn't issue High Risks unless they mean it, and just because you're not in the High or even the Moderate Risk zones doesn't necessarily mean you'll miss the worst of it.

Have multiple ways of receiving tornado warnings, have batteries in the weather radio, keep your phone charged, have your local news station on, whatever you have to do.

Stay weather aware and stay safe.

While we are faced with a lull in the storm season out here on the Great Plains, we wanted to take the opportunity to announce our upcoming podcast!

"Beyond The Updraft" will be premiering later this spring and is hosted by members of the Thunderbird team. Tackling subjects from the weather to overly caffeinated beverages, we hope to be a source of laughter as well as information.

We are working hard to not only get everything prepared but also to line up some interesting and entertaining guests!
