Last autumn I completed an animation for the Nature Conservancy called "To the Jungles That Be." At long last I can share this wonderful piece with everyone. (link is in the comments)

My good friend and frequent collaborator Dave Cooper directed the project. The illustrations were done by the super talented muralist Saba Hamidi. The poem was written and spoken by Kondwani Fidel. I did all of the animation, music and sound design, and helped with the concept. It's been nearly a decade since my last intense animation project with Michelle Obama. I'm looking forward to the next one! Let's talk!

For the past 2+ months we've been working on an amazing animation project for the Nature Conservancy featuring the words and voice of Baltimore poet Kondwani Fidel. I can't wait to share the final product with everyone because it's the coolest thing we've worked on in years. A few days ago I found out that Kondwani's words are going to be embroidered on the jerseys of the Baltimore Orioles! Here's a cool video for the Orioles staring K.

I'm curious if other designers are having the same internal conversation. I'm beginning to learn how to use Chat GPT to create scripts in After Effects and I think there's a chance that AI will eliminate the need for people like me to hand-build motion graphics and SFX. In the meantime, I've been waiting for a company to challenge Adobe in that sphere. Is Autograph a contender? What do we do now? Which path do we spend our energies traversing? Do we learn a new application in case Adobe's throne is toppling, or do we just wait for AI to replace us?
