I'll try to be brief. Working my first cruise at the Crosstown Creamery in Tarlton May 22. It'll be nice to see my friends and their cars once again. Even got a call inquiring about the Cruise! Good news!
Still feeling a lot of pain, but I must work beyond it and start to function again. A couple of my doctors appointments have been postponed due to the docs taking leave of absence. On the other hand, Linda is doing fine. What can I Say!OK enough of that.
Headed to DE for a show on July 4. It will be great to see friends and relatives back East. Hope to see some of you that weekend.
Can you believe that 4 days ago we ran the furnace all day and now may have to crank up the AC.
Enough for now. Back with you soon! Mac

It is now early May and several things have come up on a positive manner.
First of all, my overall health is just fine from the waist up. From the waist down, well that's different. I just had a procedure on both Knees that relieved a lot of pain and pressure. I can get up from seated much easier and can walk without my Souped-Up walker.
That has changed several things in my future. I will be working at several events this year. Among them are the Crosstown Creamery in Tarlton In May, July and September. I will be heading to New Castle, DE for a July 4th sow with the DE Street Rods, The Culp Lake Car Show in Springfield and hopefully the Cruiz-A-Palooza in Amanda this September. I have other shows in the works, but they all are up to local approvals.
Oldies 108 is still going strong and gaining listenership both here in Ohio, but all across the USA. We are now broadcasting on Circleville, OH local Cable on channel 25. A big move. Our music mix is designed to open the ears of listeners with music from the 50's, 60,s, 70's and a lean toward Doo-Wop and Rockabilly on weekends. I have added some more modern music that I believe fits the format. Give it a try at www.oldies108.net. I believe you will enjoy!
I will close for now and hope to see you more often this summer!

Wow! February is well over half gone and I can't wait for March and April. Linda and I are feeling OK for now. Linda is headed later this week for a procedure to relieve some nagging pain in her leg(s). I had them last year and they worked! Hopefully, Linda will have the same results.
A little more than a month ago it snowed about 6 inches here and since then we have had snow and flurries on a regular basis. We still have about 6" on the ground here on top of the hill. Like I said, Come on spring!
Being president of a car club (Roundtown Cruisers) I have been pretty busy getting ready for spring and the cruising season. We have a meeting coming up soon and I believe I'm ready. We will be holding our cruise nights at the Circleville Amvets the first Friday Monthly May through October.
I just sent a new schedule for Oldies 108 (www.oldies108.net) to our webmaster. Hopefully it will be on the site this week. 108 will also be on local cable and I'll forward what channel as soon as I get the info. As far as K-95 Classic Country goes, I have postponed starting it up until after the corona Virus gets under control. Radio of all kinds has suffered over the past year or so.
Lastly, I want to say a loving "so long" to Rush Limbaugh. The Golden EIB Microphone will be silent. God Bless you Rush. May we meet in heaven some day.
For now, I'm Outta Here!

I woke up this morning to find that January is 2/3 over. Winter goes very slow out here. Today it's sunny and tomorrow it looks like more snow coming.
I just received my new pre-production and mail server from PC Supplies and will try to get it on line by Sunday. This unit will replace a 15 year old WIN-XP unit I bought while still in Delaware. All my music files, friends addresses, emails and business files. It should go well.
Travis, Devin and I are getting ready to launch K-95 (Classic Country?) as soon as we can find a good URL and set up security. Oldies 108 is cruising along smoothly and I am thinking about adding a Doo-Wop Depot program once a month on Saturday Mornings. Stay tuned. The delays have been mostly caused by my health issues. I'm finally back on my feet and can walk again. Hopefully, I will improve steadily and get active again.
The Roundtown Cruisers will be meeting soon and preparing for this upcoming summer. Hopefully, we will start in May, but are prepared for whatever is dealt us. That also goes for the rest of my summer activities.
Making things short, I will say so long for now. If you enjoy good Oldies Music, our address is oldies108.net. Get on board and let us know what you think! Bye for now, Mac

It's about time I give you an update, It's been since May since my last one, so here goes. Linda and I are doing fine (with some exceptions) and enjoyed a great summer. Hot, but a good summer. Our daughter, Kim got married in June and the wedding was beautiful. I got a second chance to give Kim away and t was a pleasure. Sean is a great guy and they are a very happy couple. Linda and I also gained 2 grandchildren in the process and we love them!
I managed to work or attend at least 10 car shows and it was fun to be out and about among friends and car enthusiasts. Got to see some old friends and observe some fine cars in the process. Linda took some of the time at the shows to do some knitting to make hats and mittens for children in need. We were all over central Ohio from Springfield to Ashland to Circleville. The Cruising season is coming to a close out here and we will be settling down for the winter.
I also have been working very hard on Oldies 108 and for some reason, it is outdoing all my expectations as far as listeners and advertisers go. Travis and I have been "tweaking" the station and it sounds pretty good and the music mix is working out very well. We will continue to add music and make adjustments.
Now to the not so good news. My health has been up and down (mostly down) with stretches of heavy pain, especially in my back and neck. Some days, I don't do much more than shower in the morning and deal with pain the rest of the day. Three good things did happen. My vision has improved since cataract surgery, my legs no longer give me terrible pain in the morning and I have a lot less pain from the waist down. It all migrated to my upper body.
Oh well, I will quit complaining. Linda is doing fine. She is as healthy as I've seen her throughout our 50+ years together. We look forward to the upcoming Holiday Season and visits from family. Or visits to family.
I will close by saying I miss all my friends back East. Thank GOD for telephones and e-mail, but it still doesn't substitute for face-to-face visits. That WILL come in the future. I will try to keep in touch better in the future. For now, BYE!

Here we are getting ready to enter the month of May and the chilly weather looks like it will stick around for a couple more weeks. We will get some nice weather this weekend, though.
Linda and I are doing well and getting anxious to return to church this Sunday (May 3). Although spacing rules will prevail, we will be back together with our dear friends.
Linda has been working day and night on a new quilt for our bed and it looks like it will be very nice. She is a master quilter to be sure.
am proud to say that Oldies 108 is really gathering steam. Last Saturday we had almost 5,000 hits on the site at one time during the 6am - 2pm time slots. I was really impressed. Hopefully, we can keep up with the momentum.
As far as I know, I wil be in Delaware for the Little Big One on July 5 and in Syracuse July 17, 18, & 19. If I hear any different, I'll let you know.
Cruises and car shows here in Ohio may start in June if things go well. Our Governer (Mike DeWine) is slowly opening things up at this time and if things are OK, more openings will follow.
Before saying so long, I'd like to say a big "I MISS YOU" to my daughter, Kim and her family. Hope to see you all real soon!
Till we get together again, I'm OUTTA HERE!

Forgot to tell you. Everything in my studio WORKS! And that's the bottom line!

04/03/2020

I LOVE my "new" studio! Much more convenient now. My studio amp is a 1968 Marantz Model 18 (made in USA) receiver, the reel-to-reel deck is a 1963 (made in USA) Magnacord, the cassette deck is a late 80's Pioneer and the turntable Is a Techniques 1200-SL. I bought the turntable in 1992. Notice the document holder is adorned with a 108 moniker. I almost bought a Signature 3 radio station board. Maybe some day. So, there it is! My private bunker - studio!

Have you ever tried to add some photos to your page and just couldn't. Well I Have! I just updated my studio to be more convenient and functional and can't display the photos. How can something "so simple" be so unnerving! Anyhow, all is well here. Linda and I are making the best of the current situation as it may be and really look forward to getting outside and going.
I am having a swell time trying to get to where I am pain free, but that is still a challenge. One thing, I am still sharp of mind and keeping my lips curved upward and not frowning.
Most of my time lately has been taken up working on my studio, looking over my record collection and getting ready to clean up the lower garage. the upper will be dealt with soon. Our Packard started easily the last time I tried and ran great. Maybe this weekend I will take a ride and fill it up with fuel. Nice to pay under $2 per gallon for premium!
For now, it's back to the photos! Back soon,
Mac

How about that! March has arrived and winter is letting go her grip. More sunshine and and warmer temps are pushing me outside and I LOVE it! Had a real tough winter. Pain just kept moving from one part of the bod to the next. No details, but I believe I have passed 1 week without any significant pain. I won't say that too loud.
Linda is doung fine, except for a slip on the kitchen floor that pulled a muscle in her foot. She is much better now. I believe she put another 100,000 miles on her sewing machines lately. She really LOVES to sew and I'm not going to get ih her way.
My daughter Kim will be getting married this June and Saun looks like a real keeper. Even grand daughter Marcy really likes him. THAT'S a PLUS! We all wish them well. And an added bonus, they are looking at property in Pickaway County. I t would be so cool to have them living close by. Keep your fingers crossed.
Oldies 108 is doing OK for being only about 6 months old. Being in pain all winter, I didn't get out to gather additional sponsors. That will happen VERY soon. We will be adding "rewinds" of my programs to run Monday - Friday as soon as I can get enough new format shows in the bin. You won't see much of a change except there will be no "bottom of the hour" breaks. That's all.
Over the winter, I was elected president of the Roundtown Cruisers Car Club and hope to serve the Club well. This will be my second time and I look forward to this year's cruising season.
OK, I've said enough. See you soon at a cruise or car show, and on Oldies 108 Saturday mornings 10 - noon! Bye fr now.
Mac
