Big thanks to Sandy Munro for his newest book, Aspen Unstrung. As a dear old friend and longtime fellow local musician, I am grinning and applauding like crazy for this beautifully-written salute to the Soul of Aspen, from the late 60's on through to the present moment. Sandy has artfully captured the essence of the early golden age of our town, with its home-grown music, heartfelt camaraderie, and slightly whacked-out cast of characters. Whether you've lived in this valley forever, or are a relative newcomer, I highly recommend this refreshing trip through our local history as seen through Sandy's eyes. It is a lovely and personal arc of lives well-lived and enjoyed. Read it!
