Today is the day! You can officially purchase our latest book “Be a Friend Like Zak” at www.empatheelane.com!

When Zak discovers that a small act of kindness can make a big difference, he sets off a chain reaction he never expected. By helping others feel noticed and valued, he goes his friends the courage to be brave, try new things, and grow into the amazing people they are meant to be!

We are so excited to officially announce our new children’s book coming soon: “Be a Friend Like Zak.”

Inspired by Austen’s love for Zak Boyle, and shared today on his heavenly birthday, this story celebrates the kind of heart he had and the person he was - someone who truly saw you, noticed you, made you feel special and included, and gave you the confidence to try things that felt a little scary.

This book was born from the heart and is a glimmer of how he impacted . It is a way for us to share his humor, love, uniqueness, and effortless coolness with children everywhere. We hope his message reminds kids that sometimes all you need is one friend to believe in you.

Today, we invite you to celebrate and remember our favorite guy. If you get a minute today, please do something kind for someone else in his honor… and add a flare of humor or a funny one-liner in perfect Zak fashion!

Happy World Kindness Day - one of my fav days of the year (as I’m currently rockin’ my Kindness sweatshirt!)

I know that we are entering into the craziness of the busy holiday season, and the reasons I started with remain the same. If we can help our children learn empathy and embed those behaviors at young ages, we have a real shot at changing the world and how we treat each other.
