Heaven has gained another angel. Butterfly passed peacefully during sleep. She had shown some signs of slowing a bit.
Connie shared:
“i’ve been thinking about when Maddie and Butterfly arrived. Rick and I were very sad that the shelter had decided that their other sister was too ill to be adopted so we grieved for her immediately. However, but Maddie and Butterfly were ours and what sweet, sweet babies they were. We’ve seen a lot of babies in our lives, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen any that were more bonded than Maddie and Butterfly. Before we opened Trooper’s Dream they fit in with our pack in the kitchen like they were meant to be. Poor Butterfly has suffered through going down in her back twice and she was such an angel through the 30-day crate rest each time. Then she got that horrible skin disease where her skin started sloughing off; Doc Jess did all the research and got her on the right meds which cleared her up. Through all this she never want lost her joy. Her tail always wagging. Always looking to make sure her sister was close by. I’ve always loved all of our babies, but the ones that come with pain or illness to me touch get my heart more deeply because they needed me more. Butterfly was tough like trooper. She never gave up on me, and I never gave up on her.
