It's official! My new book, "C is for Cannon Beach" with artwork by Sally Lackaff is now available. The book highlights must-see destinations, exciting activities, native flora and fauna, fascinating trivia, and the rich history of Cannon Beach.

A big shout out of THANKS to Candace Clark Holzgrafe! Without her generosity, this book would not have been possible. Proceeds will benefit the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum and the Cannon Beach Rural Fire Department District.

My Story

When I moved to Astoria, Oregon, in 2002, I immediately set out to buy a book on its vast history. To my surprise, I discovered that no such book had been written. And so I decided to write it myself. “Astoria, An Oregon History,” published in 2008, was greeted enthusiastically by locals and tourists alike. “A is for Astoria” came a few years later, with artwork by my friend Sailey Bailey. Both books are in their 4th printing, and still going strong.

I had so much fun creating “A is for Astoria,” that I decided to do a similar book for Sunriver, Oregon. “S is for Sunriver,” with artwork by Darby DeKay, was published in 2014.
