Check out this event by Dirty Sundays! We will be attending, shooting and riding…come on up to Grass Valley and the amazing Holbrooke Hotel and say hi!

🚨Event Announcement🚨

From our friends : “Dirty Sundays is collaborating with the historic Holbrooke Hotel in Grass Valley, CA to organize a new exciting bicycle event that reflects the lifestyle and history of riding bikes in our community and around the world.

🚲The event will dive into the past and share the evolution of bicycles with an exhibition of 40 bikes from different decades, all the way to modern hand-built custom bikes.

🚲There will be vendors with bicycle-related artwork like jewelry, paintings, photography, etc.

🚲Tom Ritchey and other industry legends will be attending and Tom himself will give a speech about the book of his mentor and friend, Jobst Brand.

🚲On Saturday and Sunday mornings there will be group rides that will take you around this scenic Victorian town and explore the past relics of Grass Valley’s rich mining history.

🚲There will also be a swap meet outside with vintage and modern parts where you can possibly make some great deals!

🚲 will be filming during the whole event and preserve all the memories in a short video.

🚲And of course, the Holbrooke Hotel will be offering awesome food and drinks in the oldest, continuously operating Hotel in California, and don’t miss the After-Party at the Iron Door bar downstairs!”

We had a blast filming El Radio Fantastique and Milk For The Angry at Tommy Breeze Studios in Fairfax last Friday! Sunhead opened the show and it seemed like the whole town showed up for the shindig. Support these local bands and artists like who are keeping Fairfax funky!

It was a blast working with Lighthouse Films Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline as “Captain Covid” to make the Kygo music video “Hot Stuff”. Check our the video and stay tuned for these two love birds in season two of Netflix series Outer Banks.

The view from Smoker’s Knoll, the highest point on the Appetite Seminar, Earth’s longest running mountain bike ride.

We rode before dawn on Thanksgiving morning and made it here just as the sun punched through the fog. A few minutes of camera setup in solitude, then riders began to arrive and, as Joe Breeze puts it, “the glory of the day would be had”.

From here the ride blazes a long downhill to Kent Lake before a grueling climb back out. Luckily there was a certain turkey bearing liquid refreshments for those arriving back on top...

Special thanks to Mike’s Bikes for the two wheeled production vehicles to haul our gear up the hill.

The last two weekends have been so much fun, with one of our films on the big screen! We premiered “The Outlaws of Trans Cascadia” on Nov. 2 at the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame for Mike Kelly and Wick Wickster’s birthday bash, and showed the next weekend at Splitrock Tap & Wheel before the new Red Bull ski film, “The Collective” on Don Parsons’ birthday.
This film was done for a private client but we are stoked to be back on the big screen and are working on more material from this trip that we can release into the world!

That's a wrap! Just wrapped up an intense four-day backcountry mountain biking trip with Trans Cascadia Excursions camping in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest of Washington state. Untouched trails, unmatched views, plus stellar food, cocktails and entertainment from the staff, not to mention massive nightly bonfires. A lot more footage to process, but for now: some aerial highlights. Big aloha to the crew that made it an epic time.

Funk Abides Fest is in the books and it was a huge success thanks to the efforts of the man in the middle, Wick Wickster. Superb music, excellent food, and awesome people. We had a blast filming Wick this weekend and hope you will all stay tuned for more Dudeism in our upcoming documentary Abide.
