I’m super grateful for my (currently using the portfolio version) keeping me organized and getting the right stuff done because it is JAM PACKED for a Friday. Plus, I need time to celebrate as if that isn’t every day 😉

I have to admit… I get excited about crossing things off lists, checking the box, and saying “I did that.” I spent a quarter century setting goals, accomplishing incredible tasks…for what? Half the time, I couldn’t answer that. The rest of the time, the answer wasn’t solid.

Do you ever stop to think about why you do what you do?

What kind of person that goal makes you?

What kind of legacy you will leave?

Will you engineer your life to be the person you want to be?

It’s National Trivia Day!

Shoutout to my high school days of competitive trivia on the academic team (in case you couldn’t already tell I’m a nerd).

Bonus points for being a Tuesday.

2021 has been hard. Between changing jobs, navigating entrepreneurship, struggles in my marriage, medical mysteries, and so many changes, 2021 brings proof that I have an amazing support system and the power of prayer is real. I am thankful for all of it.

✨ Thank you to my favorite person for keeping me sane this year and walking alongside me through all of life’s ups and downs.

🔥 Thank you to my DCA pod of incredible ladies for pushing my business forward and for constant encouragement. .logsdon

♥️ And thanks to my hubs who isn’t on IG, for the worst-turned-best year.

So tell me, what are you thankful for this year?

I love shortcuts. Not the cutting-corners kind, but the automation kind. Time-savers, efficiency and productivity boosts, all of that.

Today I’m working on some heavy-duty code, and I’d be so irritated (not to mention slow) without these shortcuts.

❓What’s your favorite time-saving trick?

🍁 I’m not saying you should stay up all night painting on your iPad, but if that was already your plan… enjoy this autumn-inspired Procreate color palette (link in bio).

Big thanks to for teaching me this paper cut-out style lettering! I will be using this alllll the time now.

Mistakes, and failure, are not entirely negative. Before you protest, I’m not saying failure is necessarily fun, but what if we focus on the good that can come out of it?

I failed a high school English paper thatI spent hours trying to perfect. I brought home the giant red F to my dad, expecting a harsh look of disappointment and a lecture. He looked me square in the eye and said “I’m proud of you. What did you learn?” Hold up. The perfectionist in me was beyond upset and my dad was the disciplinarian. I only remember crying, not my response, but that was the day I learned how to fail well.

Try hard. Learn what could have been different. Try it differently next time. Don’t panic.

Hey friends!

🤔 Over the last few years, I’ve had several people asking if I could teach them data visualization through Microsoft Power BI, so I’ve been thinking about creating an online course for corporate professionals seeking this new technical skill.

💭 I envision this as a step-by-step, start-to-finish course, to transform data newbies into data professionals.
That’s right - no prior knowledge of data, math, or coding required! I truly believe if you can use Outlook or PowerPoint, I can make Power BI a breeze.

🙋🏻‍♀️ So are you looking for a new technical skill to boost your value and get you that promotion? Or maybe you’re looking for a profitable new position, like a data analyst or business intelligence developer?

✉️ This is your official invitation to join me as a founding member of this course. Not only will you get in at the ground floor and have an opportunity to shape the course curriculum, but you will also get this course (and lifetime access to future updates) at the lowest price ever offered.

📱Send me a message if you want more details! If not, ask your friends!

Nerd alert 🤓 When I couldn’t sleep, I started counting hours I’ve spent learning data visualization. I have enjoyed it like nothing else, but without formal training, a trusted course, or a mentor, this now seems inefficient.

➡️ So instead of spending countless hours on Goggle, YouTube, Udemy, Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, blogs, you name it… just send me your questions. Trust me, it’s faster!

❓Tell me: what topic have you most enjoyed learning about? Efficiently or not 🙃

It’s World Mental Health Day! Today I’m celebrating my mental health, because every day can be a struggle, yet every day is a new beginning. I wouldn’t be *me* if my mental health was perfect.

6 weeks ago, I was officially diagnosed with autism. Suddenly things make sense - why I panic in crowds, why meeting new people is uncomfortable, why I’m overstimulated in new situations. It’s been a misdiagnosed struggle my whole life. Despite all of that, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I am confident in myself because I can say no to things I can’t (or don’t want to) handle like parties, risks, and loud venues. I’ve learned that a bad day (or week, or not h) doesn’t equate to a bad life. I know now that I am capable of more than I ever imagined. Would I have found this strength without my struggle? Who knows.
So 25 years of discomfort later, let me tell you, you are not broken. You are not less-than. You are perfect, struggles and all.

Find joy in the ordinary.

This is one of the many reasons I started painting with watercolor. Few things capture joy like vibrant colors.

I’m grateful for the brilliant teachers on Skillshare, my favorite discovery of 2020. Otherwise, I’d probably be painting muddy blobs still 😂
