A new season of the popular and beloved Kids TV series Reading Rainbow has been airing this fall on Sony’s YouTube channel, Kidzuko.
At the end of each episode, kids share a recent heartfelt, empowering, and/or educational book that they read and connected with, in a segment called Recommended Reading. We’ve gathered here the FIVE Schiffer Kids books that were included, among many other great kids reads:📚✨🌈
RESCUING RUMBA: Megan, a young girl with a big heart, rescues a stray dog named Rumba and proves that a little kindness can go a long way.
SOAR: Accompanied by strikingly beautiful illustrations, young readers will identify with a nervous but determined hummingbird in this powerful message about overcoming fear and never giving up.
I AM ODD, I AM NEW: View the world through the eyes of a 10-year old boy with autism and a poem he wrote for a school assignment, reminding young children that everyone is unique, and that our differences make us who we are.
JOCELYN’S BOX OF SOCKS: When sock-loving Jocelyn receives a box of emotion-themed socks from her grandparents, she discovers a gentle lesson about feelings and how to manage them.
MAX’S BOX: Max’s parents give him a tiny, magical box that will hold everything, from his toys to his feelings. Each negative emotion he feels—anger, embarrassment, sadness, loneliness—gets added to the box, which grows and grows, requiring Max to learn to let the box go before it gets too big.
