Amesville's first-ever homecoming is this weekend, Saturday, Oct. 11! 🏡 🙌

“Come back, set a spell and visit friends, family,” Ames-Bern Volunteer Fire Department Chief Brad Maxwell said. “If you’ve ever been to Amesville, you’re always family, so to speak. You can come back and run into old classmates, whatever. It’s a homecoming — come home to Amesville.” 💕

The homecoming festival will consist of an “anything legal” sale that anyone can participate in, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Len Loomis recently launched Tend Space, new art space in Chauncey. Its inaugural mixed-media show launched in September was followed by an October salon for sharing ideas. More events are to come. 🎨

“I was really trying to bring together, not only work that focuses on different relationships to this place, but people who live varied kinds of lives and in different little bubbles within this community,” Loomis said.

“The main mission of Living Traditions is to make sure that we’re preserving, uplifting, and creating a strong fabric network to support cultural bearers and practitioners of living traditions,” Living Traditions event organizer Talcon Quinn said. 🤎
