Opinion: Congress just voted to slash public broadcasting by $1.1 billion, which could force many PBS and NPR stations—especially in rural and tribal communities—to reduce services or close entirely.

President Trump has officially signed a bill slashing $1.1 billion in federal funding for public media, putting local PBS and NPR stations at serious risk across the country.
