Tyler Ramsey was the opening act for T. Hardy Morris Friday night at Hendershot’s. Many people will remember him from the group “Band of Horses.” Ramsey was recognized as part of a stable line-up for 10 years with the BOH.

His performance Friday night was stellar as he sang with a beautiful voice and played harmonica, piano and guitar. All instruments were played like a well oiled machine. I had not heard Tyler before so it was a very pleasant surprise.
He played songs from his latest album “New Lost Ages“ as well of some of his older ones. He’ll be releasing a new record with Carl Broemel in Jan of 2026. You may want to check out tylerramsey.com for more info on this outstanding musician.

Wow! Jim White posted this list from the Americana UK top 10 Americana albums. He’s #1! I’ve continued to say over and over how lucky we are to have Jim in Athens. He will be playing at the North Georgia Folk Festival at Sandy Creek Park tomorrow. Not to be missed.

I can honestly say the Guardians of the Jukebox is intensely the best band of the 80s music I’ve ever seen. They work that stage and video accompaniment like no other band I’ve seen that does cover songs. There is no way that somebody can walk into that concert and not have fun. Definitely check them out next time they are in Athens. Even if you hate the 80s music, you will have fun at this concert.

When I was in Coimbra, Portugal, I met a woman at an open mic at a bar called Murphy's. It was great fun. She and I started talking and had a great conversation! Her name is ROXANNE BEA. She has a new album out and sent me the link to hear it. Here is her new song called, "Destino." It is a great taste of some Portuguese music which to be honest I heard very little of while there. I did get to hear some beautiful Fado music in Lisbon though. Please take a listen to her music and share with your friends.
