Clarke Central High School Class of 2021 alumna and former iliad Literary-Art Magazine Co-Editor-in-Chief and ODYSSEY Media Group Sports Staffer Natalie Ripps poses during the OMG Valentine’s Day Celebration in Room 231 on Feb. 14, 2019. Ripps joined the iliad for the 2020-21 school year as the Co-Editor-in-Chief alongside Class of 2021 alumna Lucy Hines to produce the 46th volume, “Okeanos.” “My entire year working with the iliad played a huge role in who I am today. I served as a writer on the ODYSSEY staff for three years prior, (including) Journalism I, but I always felt drawn to the arts, creative writing and design,” Ripps said. “I was honored to step into the role of Co-Editor-in-Chief, a position that taught me about leadership and public speaking, business and design and how to be confident in my own vision while still making space for others’ ideas.” Photos from the ODYSSEY Media Group archives, story by Jay Braswell
