🍂 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘! NaturePLAY is an exclusively outdoors preschool nature course with Alison Hux at Foxfire Woods and Farm in Nicholson, GA. This child-led exploration of our natural world incorporates science, art, reading, and more. Based on Reggio and Charlotte Mason styled curriculums, this class is designed for 3-6 year old children (big and little siblings welcomed) and a participating adult.

Every month we'll gather in weather-appropriate play clothes - rain 🌧️, snow ❄️, or shine ☀️!

🤔 Looking for a Thursday morning activity for your toddler? CANOPY STUDIO offers weekly Parent-Assisted Trapeze lessons for ages 3-5! This open gym/open play style class lets students have fun while working on coordination and strength. No direct instruction, but there is a teacher there to help during the session! Classes are $15 per child, and grownups are free.

🧩🎨 We stopped by for some open play at The Meadow Montessori Play Studio last week and it was the SWEETEST spot! There's several sections with different imaginative play options like a kitchen with food and utensils, costumes for dress-up, a tent with marshmallow sticks for "roasting" over a bonfire, fishing poles you can use to catch fish, and a raised garden and vegetable bed with fun tools. 🌼🥕

There's also a couple of creative areas: one with puzzles and learning activities, another stocked with crayons, colored pencils, paper, and sensory play materials like play doh and cookie cutters.

We found a couple of sensory tables that look like they will be rotated out regularly with different themes and textures. It's a nice bonus when toys are refreshed to keep it interesting if you plan on making multiple visits.

I didn't get the best picture of it, but there is also a gated space for infants to play in with a grown up that helps to separate them from the big kids, too!

They've just opened and are mostly offering drop-in Open Play Sessions during the week, but they have some workshops and events in the works, too! I do see an "All About Apples" September workshop that they've just added to their calendar - so they're already getting started! 🍎

I think my favorite thing about this play studio is the FLEXIBILITY. Dropping-in is simple, unlimited, and with fixed pricing that doesn't require a long-term commitment. You can pay as you go, or choose to sign-up for a membership for extra perks.
