The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has arrested a Madison man in connection with a Thursday shooting.

Police say 22-year-old Madison resident Jamarioun Clark is in custody for the shooting death of 26-year-old Anargyros Mantas. Police say Clark is charged with Aggravated Assault, Felony Murder, Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Possession of Firearm During Commission of a Crime.

A police report by the Athens-Clarke County Police Department is revealing more information regarding Tuesday’s car crash into the Alps Road Kroger.

Police say video evidence shows that the driver of the vehicle, Lonneshia Shafaye Appling, waited in the parking lot for several minutes before accelerating forward and striking the building.
