Friends, as we start to get bombarded with back to school sales, I recommend taking your kids 'shopping' at your own home. With money tight for everyone, let's return to our values and teach our kids that they don't need new stuff all of the time. If you have to shop, try thrift stores (I like Little Wing Relief in Athens:). People donate new stuff there all of the time!

My son makes fun of me, but I think it's ingenious. I label the hangers that my pants go on so I know what's what in my tiny closet. I'm also super into using Sharpie on smooth surfaces and then rubbing alcohol to get it off. I figure if it doesn't come off, it costs me a hanger. I'll survive.

Neurodivergence at its finest people! This is a legend that a client created. Took a bit for us to figure out the correct names for her file categories, but this is what we arrived at. Super proud of the work we did!

I found this pic in my archives and it reminded me of a nugget I often share with clients when deciding which bins to purchase. Basically, I ALWAYS recommend clear bins EXCEPT for one instance - when you need to hide things. This is a picture of the 'gifts' bin which I kept when my kids were little and I still have one now. I kept it up high so that they couldn't reach and eventually, when they caught on, I told them it was up to them. They knew that they could look in and potentially ruin a surprise, so maybe they did, maybe they didn't. All I know is this is the system I used and it's worked well enough for me throughout the years.

Alright folks, time for a little recycling reality check! 😅
We get it—someone meant well here. But tossing random stuff like this drain pipe into the recycling bin? That’s wishcycling at its finest. 🌀 It’s not helping—it’s actually making things worse by gumming up the works and tanking the value of real recyclables.
Bonus no-no: it was wrapped in twine. That’s a tangler that can break the sorting equipment faster than you can say “reduce, reuse, regret.”
And no, there’s no recycling symbol on this pipe. No symbol = no dice. It’s made of mixed plastics, which manufacturers can’t use—even if you cross your fingers really hard. 🤞
Recycle smart, not hopeful. Let’s keep it clean, people! ♻️😎
