I am 70 years old. Recently, while I was at the beach, I noticed a woman my age wearing a very revealing swimsuit. Intrigued, I decided to approach her and share my opinion: at our age, perhaps it would be more appropriate to choose a more discreet outfit. This woman, probably around 70 years old, walked along the shoreline with remarkable confidence, indifferent to the gazes around her. She seemed to fully enjoy the moment, embracing her body without hesitation. This sense of freedom made me reflect. Was I the one placing too much importance on what is considered appropriate for our generation? I must admit that her confidence impressed me, but one question lingered in my mind: as we age, shouldn’t we adopt a more modest style? I do not question the importance of self-confidence. I, too, feel young at heart, take care of myself, and enjoy life. But this woman made me wonder: does aging also call for a certain restraint in how we dress? So, I approached her to share my thoughts. I gently suggested that a more covering swimsuit might be a more elegant choice, in line with our age.
