Don’t let misinformation stop you from getting approved. Here’s what you really need to know before pulling credit:

💥The score you see online is NOT the same score used for your mortgage. Lenders use different scoring models (like FICO 2, 4, or 5)—the closest match? Check MyFICO.com.

💥Multiple mortgage inquiries within a short window (under 25 days) = 1 inquiry. You’re allowed to shop! You won’t get penalized unless you drag it out past 30-45 days.

💥Paying old collections won’t necessarily help. In fact, it could hurt. Every account is different—always consult before paying anything off.
